Our History
Long before it became a private mountain retreat, the land now known as our Cle Elum property was part of the ancestral homeland of the Kittitas band of the Yakama Nation. In the late nineteenth century, the arrival of the Northern Pacific Railway transformed the area into a thriving hub for coal mining and timber, drawing settlers and dreamers to the eastern slopes of the Cascades. More than a century later, that spirit of adventure and escape lives on — honoring the land's legacy while offering a place where families and friends can gather, reconnect, and create stories of their own.
